How to Lock a Song
As a Rights Holder, you have control over how your content appears and is used in the app.
What does "Locking a song" mean?
When you lock a song, it prevents users from creating new Feels or customizing existing ones using that song.
What stays the same?
Existing Feels (created before the song was locked) are still available.
The song can still be found, shared, and viewed in the app.
What changes?
Users can’t make new Feels from the song.
Users can’t edit older Feels made with it.
Steps to Lock / Unlock a Feel
Select a Song
Start by selecting (clicking on) a song either from the Songs tab or from the Songs section within an Artist’s Profile page.
Lock the Song
Click the More Options 3 dots drop-down menu in the upper right, and click the ‘Lock Song’ button.
Unlock the Song
To unlock the song, simply click the ‘Unlock Song’ button that now appears in the upper right corner. (This will give users back the ability to create their own Feels for the song).
