Start Alignment
Music videos often show additional content before a song begins. The video offset value shifts the player to get the lyric and video times in sync. Use the following steps to set the video offset.
Click any selected lyric lines to deselect them. You should see the Set Player Time As Video Offset Button.
Play the video to identify where the song begins.
Use the playhead or waveform to back up to a time before the song begins.
Just before the first notes of the song (not the first lyric), click the Set Player Time As Video Offset Button.
Select the first lyric line and confirm you hear the video play from the start of this line.
If desired, type in a video offset manually to adjust or repeat the process.
Click ‘Save’.
Micro Adjustment
After adjusting the start alignment and jumping over any skits you may still find you want to refine the start and end of lyric lines to make the messages users create more meaningful.
Click the checkbox to enable Loop Lines.
Select a lyric line to adjust.
Click the -0.1 and +0.1second adjustment buttons to the left of the selected lyric line. This will adjust the start value of only this line. Each click will jump the video to the time displayed between the buttons.
Note: By default, the adjustment buttons trim a line by 100 millisecond (ms). For a larger increment, hold shift + click to jump 1 second. For smaller jumps, hold z + click to jump 20 ms.
Click the adjustment buttons on the right of the lyric line to set the end time for the selected lyric line. Each click will jump the video to 100 ms before the time displayed between the buttons. When the player hits the displayed time it will jump to the start time for the selected line and continue to play in a loop.
Listen to the line loop and continue to adjust until you are satisfied with the resulting message.
Press the down arrow to select the next lyric line and repeat the steps to refine this line into a music message.
When every line in a song is correctly aligned check sync verified and click ‘Save’.
